Victoria and Ricky were unable to have their Mauritius wedding as planned, and really didn’t know what they wanted until they visited us here at Stennack Farm.
“After visiting, we knew that a farm-style wedding with countryside and rolling hills surrounding the venue was what we wanted, and Stennack was perfect. We stayed in the barn for the week running up to the wedding, which was lovely.”
Planning during Covid
“Stennack helped us to navigate through the planning a wedding at an extremely difficult time.”
Their day was laid back with a rustic feel to their celebrations. Lou Lou Belles chose wild hedgerow foliage such as ferns and ivy, which was arranged together with dried hydrangeas. This filled the barn, and old milk churns added to the country feel using the hedgerow foliage with pampas grasses to create a natural seasonal look. On the day, Victoria looked beautiful in her A-line shaped wedding dress with sweetheart neckline, lace detailing and sparkles. Ryan looked very dapper in his grey chinos and blue chequered tweed waistcoat and navy blue blazer jacket and wellies! (on hand) After their ceremony, we arranged for the newlyweds to go to the beach on a tractor. A real hit with the groom!
The barn was dressed, ready for their BBQ banquet prepared by The Aussie Smoker, providing everyone with what Ricky would describe as “good quality Aussie tucka!” Candles adorned the barn, each table was dressed with a table runner, jam jars filled with flowers and garlands packed with country foliage. It looked stunning, and so romantic! And all was captured by their photographer, Lizzie Churchill Photography
In their own words….
“There are so many, too many for us to chose from, but ultimately, my favourite part of the day was marrying my soulmate!! My husband agrees, but his highlight of the day was taking the tractor down to the beach!”
