Why we chose Stennack Farm for our wedding venue
My husband and myself decided to book a wedding at short notice (due to family circumstances), and managed to get it all achieved in seven weeks. The whole ceremony, toast and evening was all held in the same room with very little to rearrange. We managed to get all the chairs at the front for the ceremony. The tables were already laid out ready to go. As soon as the ceremony was over the chairs were moved next to the tables and our arch moved behind the head table. Giving a nice backdrop and space opened up for the evening entertainment. The cake and food was already laid out behind the screens, discreetly hidden away for the ceremony.
Our amazing photographer
Stennack Farm is a beautiful venue with lots of windows for light to shine through, which made very good photos. We were lucky enough to experience our wedding on a lovely sunny day, despite every other day of the week being miserable. We had umbrellas as a backup as suggested by our fantastic photographer, Adam from Smeaton Productions. He went above and beyond for us and I full heartedly recommend him.
Our caterers and all about our wedding food
I had made my own cake as I have my own registered trade (Short and Sweet Patisserie). Top two tiers were fake and the rest were very much real. We decided to get a grazing table from Grazers. They too are a local company and do a beautifully laid out platter for amazing prices. We got food enough for 40 laid out on two of Stennack’s tables (these tables are quite large). For the evening we went for some traditional Cornish food by getting some Philps Pasties, which most were taken home at the end of the night by guests.
Dancing the night away
For the evening we had entertainment where the ceremony was previously held. Chris from DJ CAS had a set up with lights, fog and music playing. He even played a few tracks for us that were more to our taste than the generic wedding playlist. Completely personalised for us.
Where we found the perfect dress
The dress that I wore was bought from The Bridal Studio Helston. They were very quick to book us in due to short notice and I walked with the dress on the same day. My husband wore a rented suit from the Moss Bros shop in Truro. The flowers all came from Rosedale Flowers Cornwall and just tied the outfits in beautifully.
Looking back …
We had sparklers at night which was a lovely pretty touch.
Stand out Stennack Farm service
Stennack stepped up and helped us achieve a beautiful wedding with help from Caroline and Nancy. They have all been absolutely amazing. On the day itself the staff were so attentive and welcoming.
How Stennack Farm made our wedding day special
In all honesty the whole day was so remarkable and the fact that it just all came together with such little notice is mindblowing. Thank you to everyone who helped us make this day not only magical for myself and my husband, but for all of our friends and family who got to celebrate with us.
Sophie and Alex celebrated their wedding at Stennack Farm in March 2024. We loved hosting their special day!
