Stacey and Alex: A Magical Winter Wedding Day at Stennack Farm

What particularly attracted Stacey and Alex to Stennack Farm over other wedding venues were the personable and friendly approach of Caroline and the staff, and the freedom provided by the barn and outside areas to decorate as they desired.

‘The space, surroundings and attention to detail around the barn were second to none.’

Blank Canvas

Their vision of a laidback but classy day was easily realised here at Stennack, and all of the indoor and outdoor space was ready to be made personal to them. Despite the expected chill of a winter wedding, the outdoor space was still instrumental in achieving their plans for the day and provided a choice of settings for guests to socialise.

‘Stennack Farm is just unique in itself – a blank canvas that is already so beautiful all you have to do is enhance it with your own vision!’

Ceremony Arch and Lights

Stennack Farm is a venue for couples to really make their own in terms of decoration and foliage. Stacey and Alex were able to put their own personal stamp on both the barn space and outside areas. They used Little Eden Entertainment for the Hex Ceremony Arch and the LOVE lights, both of which added a special flair to their unique creativity in what they wanted to achieve.

Buffet Style Barbeque

Chasing Cake created a beautiful tree trunk cake, and the caterers were The Spitting Pig, who provided an ‘incredible buffet style BBQ with lots of different meats, bread, and sides. This fitted in so well with the style of wedding we were going for.’

Time to Dance

After a selection of songs performed by acoustic singer/songwriter Mike Fox, the DJs Phaze 2 started to spin some tunes, getting everyone up and dancing the evening away.

‘They instinctively knew what we all needed to dance to. Honestly, don’t think we left the dance floor at all!’

Family and Friends Close By

It meant so much for Stacey and Alex to have their closest family with them for the whole weekend. The on-site accommodation is there for families and close friends to anticipate, experience and contemplate the run-up and afterglow of the wedding weekend together.

‘This detail was a massive part of our decision making when it came to venue. The cottages are so beautiful, a real home away from home, and we didn’t want to leave!’

Shepherd’s Hut

Stacey and Alex were gifted a surprise by their family – their wedding night’s stay in the Shepherd’s Hut. They’ll be back later this year to celebrate their first anniversary, and the log burner will be burning upon arrival to create a cosy cocoon of warmth.
