Rachel and Tim’s August wedding day at Stennack Farm went smoothly from start to finish. Our peaceful, secluded venue was a good fit for their wedding day vision. Also, being so close to ‘a stunning beach … made for some incredible photographs’.
‘We wanted minimalistic styling and this is why Stennack Farm was perfect, as the views and wooden barn were stunning enough and we didn’t need much extra decor to make it look special.’
They loved the layout of Stennack Farm, as everything available and exclusive as part of the wedding venue package (the cottages, the patios and courtyard, the lawns and the barn) are all close in proximity.
‘This enabled all of our guests to be able to mingle in different spaces throughout the day, yet it still felt intimate and not too spread out.’
A Perfect Set of Suppliers on the Day
After the wedding ceremony, celebrations began with welcome drinks of Pimm’s and elderflower fizz in the sunlit courtyard.
Rachel and Tim’s caterers were Buen Apetitio, who provided excellent service from start to finish. Everyone enjoyed a mouthwatering three-course menu, which included: smoked salmon, pork terrine or bruchetta to start; salmon fillet, chicken breast or risotto for the main; and espresso crème brûlée, coconut sorbet or New York cheesecake for dessert. Absolutely delicious!
‘We had a lovely food tasting where they visited our home to cook for us. Very professional, discreet on the day and professional service staff.’
They also had ‘amazing pizzas’ made by Kernow Forno for their evening food, which were devoured by all the guests and didn’t last long!
Cornwall Parties provided the DJ and photographer, Ami, who was incredibly friendly and helpful.
‘She made us feel at ease during the photography and did a fantastic job with the music in the evening.’
The gorgeous artificial flowers from Handmade with Love by VK were not only admired and an integral part of the wedding, but will last forever, preserving Rachel and Tim’s memories of their day. Gillian at Inspire Event Hire helped with the décor hire.
Kimberly Holland was in charge of all the hair and make-up.
‘She was so friendly and always happy to make adjustments, so I was happy.’
A Sustainable Wedding Dress
Rachel wore an exquisite dress with an embroidered and lace bodice, which was perfectly complemented by her hair, make-up and jewellery.
‘Sustainability was a big factor for our us so my dress was a second-hand dress from La Boutique in Exeter.’
Tim and his best men wore navy Moss Bros suits, with matching buttonholes, ties and shoes, and Rachel’s bridesmaids were in dusky pink, creating a streamlined look for the bridal party.
Surrounded by Loved Ones
Rachel and Tim found it impossible to name their favourite part of the day, as everything went perfectly for them and it was ‘all magical!’
‘Some of our fondest memories are the speeches and taking photos with all our loved ones against the stunning countryside backdrop. We were so lucky with the weather and that really made Stennack Farm look more wonderful than when we first visited in the winter.’
Our on-site accommodation for their close family members of the wedding party was an important factor in Rachel and Tim’s overall sense happiness and calm on their beautiful wedding day.
‘It was amazing to spend the whole weekend with them and made the actual wedding day even more relaxed.’
The looks on their faces speak volumes. Thank you for choosing Stennack Farm!
