Emily and Scott chose Stennack Farm because they found the wedding barn ‘beautiful’. Another selling point was our onsite accommodation, and everything ‘being close to where we live made it even better!’
After a week of rain, they were blessed with dry weather for their special day. Their wedding ceremony was conducted inside the elegantly decorated barn, followed by welcome drinks of Pimm’s and Corona.
With a Little Help from their Friends
‘I wanted to be able to do the decorating myself, something to complement the already beautiful venue. We collected the majority of our decorations for the wedding from my mum’s garden, which made it even more special.’
Emily also handmade all of the table decorations – so imaginative and creative!
The bouquet and buttonholes were made by Emily’s cousin at Wild and Heather – ‘they were stunning’.
‘We had some friends make and serve our canapés and favours, and they we probably one of the biggest highlights of everyone’s day! We’ve had so many compliments and I cannot thank Rob, Lucy, Laura and Sam enough!’
‘We also had another friend make our cupcakes, we are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives who were so helpful!’
The Dress
Emily’s gorgeous wedding dress was from Coastal Bridal in Mevagissey, Cornwall.
‘I was so pleased to have found my perfect dress there, as it’s the village I grew up in!’
‘The bridesmaids and myself had our make up done by Carly Angove, who made us all feel and look beautiful!’
Hog Roast and Cheese Cake
Emily and Scott used Spitting Pig for their wedding breakfast hog roast, which was also ‘amazing’.
‘They were recommended by a friend who had also used them for their wedding, and we were not disappointed.’
Their unique wedding cake was from The West Country Cheese Co.
‘I had always dreamed about having my wedding cake made from cheese, it was perfect.’
Evening Entertainment
Lucky Stars provided the interactive photo booth for the evening’s fun.
‘They were also brilliant, although I was slightly gutted I didn’t make more use of it myself as I was too busy dancing to our band all night!’
The band was Scott’s pick for evening music: The Tregony Teachers. ‘He definitely made the right choice!’
‘They were amazing! I’m not sure about anyone else but I danced to them all night long, definitely the highlight of my day (very glad I had bought some trainers for myself)!’
‘The only thing I wish I could change would be to make the day last longer. Everyone always says it but it goes way too fast!’
‘We were both so happy how our day turned out. Caroline was so helpful on the day making sure our timeline throughout the day was followed! And thank you to Nancy for your help and answering all our questions in the lead up to the wedding.’
Emily and Scott’s photographer for the day was Rich from I Do Film and Photos, and they were married at Stennack Farm in March 2023. Thank you for choosing us to be your venue!
