Charlotte and Gareth: With a Little Help from Family and Friends

A Rustic and Relaxed Venue

Charlotte and Gareth knew they wanted a rustic and relaxed venue for their wedding. When they came to view Stennack Farm, they fell in love with everything about it from the moment they saw it.

‘The onsite accommodation was perfect and allowed us to relax before and after the big day. Being local, we also wanted somewhere close by so that our guests wouldn’t have to worry about travelling far.’

On the day of their wedding, the wind and the rain were not always on their side – as is sometimes the case with Cornish weather! However, this didn’t matter. Our spacious Wedding Barn provided more than enough room for their guests for the duration of the wedding ceremony and celebrations.

‘The barn is big and spacious and so beautiful.’

DIY Decorations

Decorations were mostly put together with the help of family, especially Charlotte and Gareth’s mums.

It was everything they dreamed of and more, and all came together beautifully. The only decorations hired were the Hexagon archway and top table centrepiece from Emily Rose Events Hire, ‘which were beautiful and tied in perfectly’.

‘The wedding was mainly DIY and we couldn’t have done it without the help and support of our family and friends – especially our parents.’

Canapés were provided by Cornwall College – and Charlotte’s auntie and uncle Linda and David Thomas, with the help of friends and colleagues, laid out a beautiful cold meat buffet for the wedding food, which was well received by their guests.

‘It’s extremely difficult to pick a favourite part of the day – because we enjoyed every single moment and would do it all over again if we could!’

‘We did pay for the room turn around and coordination for the day – just to ensure things ran smoothly – and that they did! Thank you to Caroline and all members of the Stennack team.’
