Why we chose Stennack Farm for our wedding venue
Alice and Ryan loved the wedding barn, and how they were able to make it their own.
We wanted something unique, and Stennack definitely made that possible. We chose the venue as it had everything we wanted and we were able to do our thing with.
How we wanted our wedding to look in terms of style and aesthetic
We wanted our wedding to be bright, colourful, with a little bit of disco thrown in. We sourced all the decor ourselves, a lot of it came from charity shops and Facebook market place! We dyed the table linens, made the confetti, and did everything we could ourselves.
Our perfect selection of suppliers
The bright, beautiful floral arrangements were by Louise at Lou Lou Belles, and ‘she was absolutely incredible’.
Everyone commented on how bright they were, and she really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
Alice and Ryan’s wedding photographer was Katie Goff and she ‘was also brilliant, she made us feel so at ease and her style was exactly what we wanted’.
Katie bought Annie with her, so we were able to have everything photographed from two points of view, which is really great.
My hair and the bridesmaids’ hair was done by Jules Spurgeon at Wedding Hair Cornwall, and she was also great.
Where we found the perfect dress and suits
My dress was Catherine Dean from the Bridal House of Cornwall (now Kiva & Zen Bridal), and the alterations were done by Oriole Bridal & Alterations. Sophie at the BHOC is incredible, and Susan did an amazing job of altering my dress. I’m so happy with my choices.
The groomsmen’s suits all came from the Cornwall Suit Room.
Dancing the night away
Alice and Ryan’s band for the evening was Scene it All.
They’re from Oxfordshire, and fortunately they’re family friends so we were really lucky that they were willing to travel down for us. The dancefloor was full from the minute they started until the end of the night! They were incredible.
Our caterers and all about our wedding food
The caterer for the day was the Aussie Smoker.
The food was insane, everyone talked about how delicious it was, and how nice to have something different for the wedding breakfast. We found Adam on Instagram, and committed to having him for the wedding without actually trying his food – which just shows how great his reputation is!
In the evening we had The Cornish Grilled Cheese Co., and they were also insanely good. We heard about them through a friend, and we’re so happy we went with them. The toasties were the best, and again, everyone said how great they were.
We had Mr B’s for dessert. The van is amazing, Nikki is lovely and we loved the personalised wafers. My only complaint is I didn’t have enough time to try all the flavours we’d picked!
Our favourite part of the day
Alice’s personal favourite part of the day was after the ceremony, and being able to catch up with all of their guests.
We were so lucky the rain stopped and we were able to have all our pictures done outside. We also loved being able to go down to Godrevy with Katie Goff for some more pictures. Being so close to the beach it was so great we were able to take the time to head down.
Stand out Stennack Farm service
The day wouldn’t have been so seamless without Jordan, she really took away all of our stress. She organised everyone and everything so well and we’re really grateful. Everyone else was also so nice.
How Stennack Farm made our wedding day special
Stennack Farm is such an incredible venue, we just loved how we were able to make it our own. There’s nothing we would change about the day, except maybe the weather! Thank you so much to the whole Stennack Farm team for making our day so incredible.
Alice and Ryan were married at Stennack Farm in September 2023. Thank you for choosing us as your venue!
